Save an extra 10% off Virgin Holidays this Sunshine Saturday

Saturday 4th January 2020 is what the travel industry is hailing as ‘Sunshine Saturday‘.

A name coined due to the surge in holiday makers booking sunny getaways on this day for the past few years.

And with all the cold weather and the lack of Christmas to look forward to, who can blame them?

So, here are some of the best bargain holidays I’ve found with Virgin Holidays who are giving out an extra discount this weekend – and free lounge access!

Virgin Holidays

Save an extra 10% off all bookings this weekend – including sale – and get free lounge access too!

(Though pssst, this is their v-room lounge rather than their Virgin Atlantic Upper Class lounge!)

To save,use the code: 10SAVE
Ends Mon 6th Jan at 11:59PM

Top tip
It’s much cheaper to fly from London Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester so think about whether you can travel to one of those before taking off.

All prices shown below are BEFORE the 10% discount.

Meaning that you can actually score a flight and 7 nights accommodation in Orlando for just £431 per person.

BARGAIN!

Just after a flight?

the 26-30 railcard is BACK and staying!

ana-martin-161065-unsplash.jpg

I always remember the day my 18-25 national railcard ran out. The bleak realisation that paying full price for trains was part of adult life. Gross.

Well, the good-fantastic-amazing news is that if you’re 30 and under, we are BACK IN BUSINESS!

Buy the 26-30 railcard

What’s the deal then?

The 26-30 railcard will save you 1/3 on ‘leisure journeys’ across Britain – full details here.

Can it only be used on trains?

If you live in London, you can whack that bad boy on your Oyster card and save 1/3 on all off peak tube journeys as well – and that definitely adds up across the year.

How much will it cost me?

£30 a year

£30 to save hundreds across the year? OH GO ON THEN

Any discounts?

I often find £3 discounts for railcards online but there’s nothing online for the 26-30 card yet. Will update as and when!

However, you can use Tesco clubcard vouchers to buy!

What will I need to buy one?

Screenshot 2019-01-02 at 16.26.05

  • a valid debit or credit card
  • proof of age (a valid UK driving license, international passport or national identity card)
  • a digital, passport-style photo

How quickly can I use it?

STRAIGHT AWAY!

It’s the first digital-only Railcard and will be available to buy online and downloaded to the Railcard app on a smartphone. Once downloaded you can then start travelling (and saving) straight away, with no need to wait for the post! Plus, if your phone runs out of battery or gets lost it can be swapped to another mobile device.

There’s a massive queue to buy one – what should I do?

There is not a limited supply so don’t worry! Set a reminder and visit again later.

When can I use it until?

You can use the card until the last day of your 30th year of life. Cue me having another railcard-related breakdown on my 31st birthday.
